Account & Data Deletion

You can delete your Kyrros account and the data associated with it at any time. This page explains how to do that from inside the app and how to request deletion if you can no longer access the app.
Delete from inside the app
The fastest way to delete your account is directly in Kyrros:
- Open Kyrros and go to Settings.
- Open Manage Account.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm when prompted.
Once confirmed, your account is deactivated immediately and your personal data is permanently removed from our systems as described below.
Request deletion by email
If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, you can still request deletion. Email word@kyrros.app from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line “Delete my Kyrros account.” We may ask you to verify ownership of the account before we proceed. We will action verified requests promptly, normally within 30 days.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:
- Your account and login credentials.
- Your profile information (name, email, display name or initial).
- Your study plans, generated content, and reading progress.
- Your reminder preferences and your device push notification token.
- Any active share links you created.
What may be retained, and for how long
We may retain a limited amount of information after deletion only where necessary — for example, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, or keep basic security logs. Any such records are kept only as long as needed for those purposes and are then deleted. Backups are rotated on a regular cycle and any residual copies are overwritten in the ordinary course.
